Rumaki

Ingredients

 

450g (1lb) chicken livers
150ml (6floz) soy souce
12-16 slices of smoked streaky bacon
2 x 200g ( 2 x7 oz) can of water chestnuts
200g (7oz) can of pineapple chunks

Apple Strudel

 Ingredients

225g (8oz) plain flour
2,5 ml (1/2 level tsp ) salt
1 egg
30 ml (2tbsp) oil
60 ml (4tbsp) lukewarm water
45g ( 1 1/2 oz) raisins
45g ( 1 1/2 oz) currants
85g (3oz) caster sugar
2.5 ml (1/2 tsp) ground cinamon
1.1 kg (2 1/2  lbs) cooking apples , peeled , cored  and  sliced
45g ( 1 1/2oz) melted butter
110g (4oz) ground almonds
Icing sugar
Flour for rolling

Stuffed Steak

110g (4oz) mushroomes , finely chopped
30ml (2 tbsp) onion , finely chopped
30g  (1 oz) butter
60ml (4 tbsp) fresh bread crumbs
15ml (1 tbsp) parsley , chopped

Banana Bread

Ingredients

3 medium to large ripe bananas
110 g  (4 oz) margarine or butter
225 g  (8 oz) caster sugar
2 eggs
285 g (10 oz) plain flour
5 ml (1 tsp) salt
5 ml (1 tsp) vanilla essence
60 ml ( 2 1/2 fl oz) soured cream
50 g - 100g  (2-4 oz) walnuts , chopped


Ratatouille

1 medium to large aubergine

1 onion, chopped
1 red pepper, seeded and sliced
1 green pepper , seeded and sliced
1-2 cloves garlic , crushed
